G-man and I never took a honeymoon. And we have never been on vacation. In almost 12 yrs of marriage, not one (other than visiting the 'rents). We have never taken the kids anywhere. This is sad.
I refuse to do it now. Totally not in the budget. But if I plan and save....then why not?? So, here is my plan:
What if I put a nickel or a dime in a jar for every dollar we repay on our debt?
At 76k debt, a dime would equal $7,600, and a nickel would be $3,800 (assuming we were consistent). This would encourage a savings goal, allow us to have some sort of cash system for paying for this vacation, and worse case scenario.....we can always use it in an emergency for a true emergency.
Any thoughts? C'mon....sock it to me!
