happy is homeless

Today is a day that just about everything is turning into a huge project or problem.  They are just piling up.  I may install a ticket dispenser so that everyone and everything can just take a number and get in line.

My to do list is a mile long.  I have stuff going on tonight and Friday through Sunday that cannot be changed.  This leaves Thursday after work to perform some miracle and get all sorts of other stuff done.

And I am having a hard time coming up with an outlet for the stress.  Can't spend money...and don't really want to.  Eat?  No...trying to break that habit.  Exercise?  Oh...not quite ready to open that can of worms.

I need to find a happy place....because right now my happy piece of my mind is homeless.

  2. Maybe you could find a few minutes a day to read? I always find that reading helps me to escape for a bit, and it is relaxing. I know you said your to-do list is never ending, but please try to make some time to do something for yourself.

I'm so glad you've been checking in and blogging a bit. I enjoy your posts and want you to succeed in your debt payoff. But I also enjoy your updates about your work... I think many of us can feel where you're coming from on that front, too. Seems like everyone has folks who put too much on them. I had a dollar for everything I've done this year for folks that wasn't actually 'my job' I'd be able to retire early.

  4. Sorry to hear :( How about relaxing with a glass of wine & a funny movie after the kids go to bed?

  6. Sorry to hear you're struggling. Do you use any methods to stay on top of your to-do lists, i.e. Google Tasks? A visual helps me plow through. I even use a to-do Excel list at work.

    1. Oh I am the queen of to do lists. I have them categorized....calls, errands, etc. I have lists for all sorts of things. I have notes and approximate time needed to complete. That isn't the problem. The problem is things get added faster than I can get stuff crossed off.
