Yay TAXES????

Oh boy!  I finished our taxes...and we went from owing $113 federal and $266 state, to a refund of about $1200 total!!!!  G-man didn't put in some key numbers.....which I found.

We had $325 put aside for paying taxes, which obviously we don't need for taxes now.  So a mini-windfall of $1500!!!  Part is going toward the cars (the rest we needed for G-man's tires, my tires), part is going towards a "guy weekend" for G-man, and the rest will be debt and putting aside to build up accounts (like irregular expenses, which took a big hit recently because of car taxes that were a surprise).

YAY!!!

    1. Thanks! If we owed, at least we had it put aside (mostly).

    1. Wish it all could be "enjoy" or "debt", but alas....priorities.

    1. The "bump up" portion of ours will be irregular expenses (which goes to car tax, water, trash bills), and probably some to the "car" fund.

  5. It's always nice to get a refund rather than paying in. I think we will be paying in this year but I'm not sure yet.

  6. Very nice! Congrats. Definitely beats paying the taxes. Just curious, what tax software did you use? I'm using TurboTax since that's what my SiL uses to do their taxes.
