If my car needs work again...

I think I am going to cry.

My heat isn't working right.  AGAIN.  We had that worked on not that long ago.  Some heating coil thing.  My antifreeze was low, so we added more, but it still isn't right.  I need to check the level again and see if maybe there is a leak.

My car has been in the shop 3 times in the past 4 months.  I am sitting at just under 150k miles, and I was REALLY hoping to get to 200k.  I am doubtful of my goal...but right now....I have to cling to something.  I just cannot deal with getting a new car right now.

I am just so angry....the master plan has gone out the window.  All of it.  It is all just piecing things together right now, trying to cover all the new bases.  Of course I am limited in what I can say right now....but Limbo, thy name is Mysti.

This ALL wasn't supposed to happen this way.....

UPDATE:  G-man came to my office and looked at my car.  The antifreeze is gone again...we filled it 2 days ago.  It is leaking out, and this is all related to the initial problem in December.  So he is taking my car in (I have his car) and he is going to give them what for.  They WILL fix this car free of charge, and he wants them to pay for a rental car.  We will see....I will let you know.

And thank you all for your encouragement....I really need it!

  1. I'm so sorry, Mysti. Take some time to figure things out, time to grieve what has been lost, and you'll set out to conquer again when you are ready.

  2. Keep your head up, Misti. You'll come through this. I think that, sometimes, we get knocked down a rung or two just to show ourselves how strong we really are and how much we can accomplish. You've done so much, and you'll do so much more.

  3. I had real life stuff. However, you can do this. As a matter of fact, hold your head up and be proud, 'cause woman, you are doing an incredible job!

  6. @HS - it is a 2000 Ford Winstar. Actually...I had hoped to make this car last long enough so I could get a FJ Cruiser!

  8. FJ Cruiser is sweet! well keep in mind your car is 11 years old and Ford quality back then was not as good as it is today... can you sell it and live on 1 car for a few months?

  9. Given that G-man isn't living at home right now....no. Plus, with our schedule...we need 2 cars, even if he was home.
