Good thing today is Payday

The unexpected expenses are in full force.  Granted, they aren't TOTALLY unexpected, but more unexpected than expected.  You following me??

  • My friend had a baby!  I would like to go visit her in the hospital, but can't take the kids (and really wouldn't want to).  Of course I had a meeting last night...the only night that G-man would be home.  So that just leaves tonight....so I got a sitter for tonight.  $20 for that.
  • Even though I already got her a gift for the shower....I can't show up at the hospital without a little something.  So factor in a few dollars for that.
  • I have a wedding shower next week....but luckily I have a coupon that starts on Friday, so am just going to wait until then.  I am hoping that the items I want to get her are still on her registry by then!!
  • We have 4 prescriptions to pick up.  And one is about $50 just for that one!  UGH!!!!!
  • Oh, and the root canal is Friday.

Spendy week!!!

  1. These are exactly the kinds of reasons why I want to be out of debt. So that normal life events don't have me scrambling just trying to buy a little gift for a friend.

  2. Mysti...I am so nervous today...my husband is probably going to get laid off...not only will all of our "get outta debt" plans be derailed but how will we live life?

  3. It's all those little pieces that can throw us out of sync so quickly... best of luck handling it all! And with the root canal. That surely wont be fun.

  7. It is hard when all the little things jump at you. i hate it that my budget does not allow for a $20.00 item. But I am right there with you. Hope holding that new little miracle tonight will make you feel better.

  8. Nothing says you "have to" bring a gift to the hospital. Can't your visit be gift enough? ;-)
