Enjoying the weekend

Big announcement post will have to wait....I didn't write it yet.  I was too busy enjoying the weekend!

In an extremely rare occurrence....our weekend was spent piddling around and relaxing.  G-man was able to do the laundry on Friday, freeing us from that task over the weekend.  The weather was gorgeous here (bright and sunny, low 70's!) and we were able to take advantage of it.

Saturday morning I went for a 3.2 mile walk with my girlfriend (and her very curious black lab!).  We walked down the river and watched the Crew team practice.  Lovely walk.  A quick trip to the grocery store to pick up 2 missing items for dinner....and I was able to throw everything in the crock pot for a yummy dinner.

For Sunday, G-man was home ALL DAY (adding to the rare occurrence), since he is leaving today for travel.  We spent about 2 hrs cleaning up the house (no deep cleaning, just the usual surface stuff and wiping down).  One load of laundry and all was done.  I was able to sit and read a book for a few hours outside (and I didn't flip evenly...so I am going to have to sit outside next weekend to work on the other side. :) )  He mowed the lawn....Sassy sat with me and read....Bossy played basketball.  G-man and I went alone to the grocery store for a weekly trip (and treated ourselves to iced coffee, paid for by a coupon and a gift card I received for my birthday from a friend).  We grilled out for dinner, and concluded our weekend by watching Amazing Race with the kids.

So yeah, I was too busy enjoying myself to write a post.  LOL

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend as well!!!
