ARGH!!!!!!
See, my routine is off....so stuff happens. This is why a routine is important!!! I forgot to put a check in the checkbook....and it cleared....and I had an overdraft of $2.64! So ANOTHER $5 fee.....for a $2 overdraft.
Today is day 3 of No-spend (unless you count the overdraft fee). Tomorrow is payday. Thank goodness.
However, we are out of coffee. Hmmm. We do have some instant. Not ideal, but I would really like to make it until tomorrow before we spend money.
Cheer me on!!!!
Good luck! I see on the sidebar that you have a $2,000 efund. Can't you keep that money in your checking account so that there is a buffer for these types of mistakes? Savings accounts aren't giving much interest anyway. Okay - now for the cheerleading - you can do one more no-spend day. You can!
ReplyDeleteWe have a savings account attached to the checking account, so if we do overdraft, it comes from there. The bank charges $5 when it happens....better than a $40 bounce check fee!
DeleteThat stinks on the overdraft. Can you get in the habit of balancing your checkbook at a different time each day?
ReplyDeleteOur morning routine is getting more streamlined, so I can still do it in the morning (I like to start my day knowing the numbers). We just had to work out the kinks!
