Sunday Night Chit Chat - November 18, 2012

Happy Sunday night!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and are gearing up for the big Gobble Gobble (if you are in the United States)....or for whatever is going on in other parts of the world.

Tonight's picture is my inspiration for the teacher gifts for Christmas.  It is a journal/calendar.  You can write something that happened to you for every day of the year, and add to it for years to come.  Mine won't be in a berry basket, and I will use larger index cards.  But I love the idea.  If I can make it cheap enough, I might do this for the girls at work (my first thought fell apart!!!).

And on to the Chit Chat for the evening...

Reading:  Right now....nothing.  I finished the Hunger Games trilogy, but haven't started anything new.  Honestly, I probably won't until after Christmas.  I usually get a book as part of my gifts, so that will be the next one!  These are the ones that are on my "wish" list:

Watching:  My DVR is so full it isn't funny.  I have had absolutely no time to sit and veg out.  MAYBE tonight I will catch up on Fringe....I have 4 episodes to watch!  We have a free preview weekend of the premium channels next weekend, so I need the space to record movies.   I can't wait for the tv shows to take their Christmas break....I need to catch up!

Listening to: *sigh*...My BFF, Dora the Explorer.  Giggles.  Kitty purrs.

Cooking/Baking: Dinner last night was Beef Stew (made with red wine, carrots, peas, mushrooms, and beef) over mashed potatoes....yum.  Tonight was country style pork ribs, noodles, and veggies.  Nothing too fancy going on here!

Happy you accomplished today:  Lots of laundry!  And I got the kitchen cleaned up and almost ready for Christmas decor.  My office/playroom is the next victim on the list to clean up.

Looking forward to next week: Thanksgiving!!!!  I LUV cooking Thanksgiving.  Even though it is just the 4 of us...I make a huge meal.  Then we will decorate the house over the weekend for Christmas.  This is one of my favorite things to do all year.  Also, I am hoping to order the majority of gifts.

Thankful for today: The internet!  I can't imagine having to actually go to the store to shop!!   Plus it gave us Pinterest....nuff said.

*BONUS QUESTION*
You're handed a round trip plane ticket to anywhere in the world for a weekend and $1000 cash. The catch? You have to go alone, right then & there with only whatever you have on hand. Do you go? Where would you go?

If it was only for a weekend....then heck ya I would go!!!!  I would probably go to Paris.  I would eat chocolate and croissants.  I would see the Eiffel Tower, and sit in cafes and drink coffee.  I would go to the Louvre and stroll the streets.  I would miss my family....but for a weekend alone....in a fabulous city....I couldn't pass it up.

Thanks to Carla for hosting!!
