Sunday Night Chit Chat - September 30, 2012

My Pinterest Inspiration for the teacher gifts for Christmas!  It is a perpetual calendar, where you can write down things you did that day, and be able to look back over the years and see what you did on that day!  I want to find a nice box (maybe cover with scrapbook paper or fabric) and of course some beautiful pictures as the dividers.  I plan on using index cards, but would like a little nicer "date stamp" in the corner.  Need to work on that, but it should be a cute gift....not too expensive.  And doubt they have one!

Tonight's Chit Chat....

Reading:  I am about 2/3 of the way through The Hunger Games.  I am enjoying it.  I am not sure I have the same passion for the series as some people, but I definitely will finish the trilogy.

Watching: Not sure.  I have stuff I DVRed this week, with all the new shows and premieres that happened.  I have already watched the important stuff (Grey's, Private Practice, Parenthood...), so I will see what strikes my fancy.  But Once Upon a Time and Revenge start tonight....so I might watch that!

Listening to:  Halloween's Most Extreme.  I got sick of listening to the two kids bicker over what to watch, and Bossy has a compulsion to play with the remote.  My patience ran out.  I told them too bad...your choices are over for the evening.

Cooking/Baking: Yesterday was my cooking/baking day.  I made roast beef, baked potatoes, and glazed carrots for dinner (left overs for dinner tonight).  I also tried a new recipe for Pumpkin Whoopie Pies, and they were awesome!  Not too sweet, just the right amount of chewy.

Happy you accomplished today:  Another one of those days where I was busy all day...and not sure what I did.  Laundry is done....so that is an accomplishment!

Looking forward to next week: Next Saturday, G-man swapped his shift at the office as a favor to someone.  So he will be home during the day (needs to leave by 2:30 to go to work though).  Maybe we can tackle a few things together.

Thankful for today: That G-man and I finally have gotten to a point where we can talk about money priorities.  Even though he is impulsive and has alot of WANTS, we can discuss the big things.  And it isn't just me talking and him nodding along.

Thanks to Carla for hosting!!
