All sorts of things - Part One

The biggest problem with getting sick (even if it is planned!) is that stuff has a way of snowballing.  Or happening when you can't do much about it.  Or getting ignored.

1)  Money spent.  Good gracious.  While I was down for the count, G-man managed to spent an absorbanent amount of money.  He did write it all in the checkbook, but Holy Cow.  He didn't keep track of WHAT he was spending. In the end...he blew through about $500 in a few days.  Some I knew about  and planned for like shoes for the kids and hair cuts. There was  ALOT of food.  Misc stuff.  *sigh*  When I balanced the checkbook....there was $13 left.  Plus, he bought a part for the boat (from his boat money), but didn't actually transfer the money over from ING (he thought he did...but didn't complete the transaction).  So, there will be a few more dollars coming back to us.  And a few more dollars from....

2)  Medical stuff.   For the first time in 20 years (per camp), someone broke into the Med box at camp.  All the Epi-pens and medications were destroyed, dumped out, or tampered with.  Camp instructed us to replace Bossy's Epi-pen and Benedryl, and they will reimburse us.  That was $60 that we didn't plan on spending now.  Yes we will get it back, but it will take a few weeks.

3)  Washing Machine.  I mentioned last week that we had to replace the baffle.  Well, I guess when Murphy was down there messing around, he decided to really play!  The washer won't start.  Our research leads us to believe it is the control panel on the front that needs replacing.  Repair guy is coming on Wednesday....estimate for visit  and part is $300.  Plus we had to bring laundry to the laundry mat.  And we were so close to hitting out EF goal for the year!!

This is only about half of the stuff to update....but I will have to keep you on pins and needles.  Laters, Baby!

It doesn't take long to fly through money when you are down for the count! General anaesthetic makes me feel like crap for weeks! Good for you for being ready to roll so soon!
