I quit.
Life has won.
I quit.
Not one thing that I have done this year has worked.
I quit.
I just have to go into survival mode right now. I can't worry about it all. I just can't.
I have no idea what my numbers will look like....I am not saying I am going to go hog wild and buy $10,000 of stuff. But I can't stress anymore about every little thing.
We just threw out a ton of food. AGAIN. Our house is at 46 degrees. Bossy is in melt down mode. My car is being towed to the shop....and will run us about $400. In addition to the $400 we have spent in the past 2 weeks on parts and the rental car.
I am beaten down. I just can't anymore.
The year is almost over. Hopefully you will have power by then :) Things have GOT to start looking up soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. I hope everything gets better.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you during this difficult season! All the best!

(((((((hugs))))))))
ReplyDeleteThis has been a tough year. I can see why you feel this way, but you know you will have to bet back up..... (I am saying this while I hide under a blanket)
ReplyDeleteYou're not quitting (because you cant!), you're retreating/taking a break for the time being. And that's ok. Things reach this point where they all just plain suck and you're tired and cold and very much in the mood to roll under a rock. There are still 8 weeks left before the year ends, so you can't just drop it all.
ReplyDeleteYou are facing a LOT of challenges all at once. But they wont kill you, so the only other alternative is that they will make you stronger. Take a break, recharge and press on.
If you have no idea, or don't want to have any idea about your budget, then go back to the bare basics; work with cash only, treat savings as an expense, keep track of your bills. Best of luck! Cheering for you from over at my end.
Oh sweetie - I am so sorry. I know this whole year has been tough, but I know you power through it, (no pun intended) and then start over in 2012. You're one of the strongest persons I know.
ReplyDeleteNo point in sugar-coating a sh*t sandwich. Survival mode sounds like the wisest, bravest thing to do right now. Much internet love to you.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. Just hold tight and do what you have to do to get through right now. All that matters at this point is getting through. And you are tough, so I know you will make it!!!
ReplyDeleteKnow that we are all thinking of you and that everything will eventually be ok. It doesn't seem like it now but it will be.
Thinking of all of you
Judy
Virtual hug coming your way. I'm thinking of you and sending you good thoughts & prayers.
ReplyDeleteDo whatever you need to do and sort it all out later.
ReplyDeleteTake care! ((((hugs)))
Do it, I did it a couple of weeks ago and I'm surprised to be back with new energy. Now I'm ready to tackle debt but if you asked me back then, I just didn't care anymore. I think it's healthy to just say screw it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Always have Faith that things will work out and get better.
HS
Tie a knot and hang on hon!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard when life just craps all over you, but it can't last forever.
Sometimes the best we can hope for is to survive.
If you survive you live to see another day and there is always hope that what comes next will be better.
I'll stop now before I break into that old song from Annie. No need to cause you more pain listening to me sing....lol
sending happy thoughts your way... keep your head up & just do what you need to do.... like you said, we sometimes have to just get into survival mode...
ReplyDeleteSurvival mode sounds like a good plan right now. I hope things turn around soon! ~Kari
ReplyDeleteHugs! I'm going to go all Southern Girl Scarlett O'Hara on you and say, "After all, tomorrow is another day!" You will pull through this! I just know it! You have way too much strength not to! Put it all out of your mind and just get through today!
ReplyDeleteAnd I find it ironic that when I had to enter the little word to post my last comment, the word that came up was "sucks". :-)
ReplyDeleteI think you should spend some time using a budgeting tool and making a realistic budget. There has to be enough for regular monthly expenses plus irregular expenses plus minimum debt payments plus some savings/investing. If there simply isn't enough for everything, then you must make some hard decisions. You must cut expenses, increase income, or consider bankruptcy. Otherwise, you will not make the progress you want to make.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you!
Batten down the hatches and just keep on going. Sending you all good wishes

Mysti! I am so sorry all this is going on! I have been super busy trying to survive my day to day life and I didn't know that you were without power and on the brink of despair! Know that I think you are the bomb diggity and that I am sending lot of love and positive energy your way. I am hoping that once the car problem gets fixed and the power comes back on that things will look brighter:)
