Our Last Day

Holy cow. We are here.  Like, the movers are coming in an hour!  Our weekend was crazy busy, and we are still closing up boxes and tying loose ends.  For all the planning, the last 72 hrs really was more than I expected and we are already overwhelmed.

I will try and give you a running post today, as things progress.  Thank you all for all the well wishes!

6am- Up and at 'em.  Strip all the beds and grab the miscellaneous clothing that didn't get washed yesterday.

6:30 - at the laundrymat with sheets, towels, clothes.  Start machines and run and get coffee.  Got the wrong order at the drive-thru and didn't realize it until I got home to drop off G-man's coffee.  Oh well.

7:10am- back at laundrymat.  G-man is home trying to finish stuff.  As soon as I get back, he can leave to bring cats to the vet and do a final Goodwill drop off.

8:40 am - Stress is high!  Got home from laundrymat and G-man started new stuff instead of closing up open stuff.  He left to do his errands.  Oil company came and measured the tank volume.  Movers called and will be here at 9:30.

9:15- New school called and wants to move our Thursday meeting to Friday so we can meet with the entire Special Ed team.  Told them that Friday is the tentative date for our stuff to arrive so I will have to get back to them after I confirm things with the driver.

10:15- The movers have arrived!

11:40am- They are moving along.  There are 4 guys, so they are a-truckin.  Kids' rooms are empty.  Our bedroom is almost empty.  Some miscellaneous stuff has been moved around.

12:15 - Kind of trapped downstairs.  Bedrooms are empty but they are bring stuff down from the attic.

12: 34 - Made it back upstairs.  Empty...

12:57 - Empty Attic

3:04 - Most of the boxes are loaded up.  The larger furniture is next.  We have been cleaning as we go.  Would like to do more, but not quite ready.  Kids just got home from their last day at school.  Their teachers gave them each some spirit gear and a card.  Good last day.

4:30 - Truck pulled away.

5:30 - good bye house......
