I needed that....

After having a good weekend....why did my alarm clock go and ruin it this morning??

I had a much needed weekend off from showings.  The showings are exhausting and throw a whole wrench into everything.  Even though I keep the house in pretty good shape, it still takes awhile to wipe everything down AGAIN...the floors...making sure that day to day stuff (toothbrushes, soap, etc) is put away.  Then being out of the house for anywhere between 30-60 minutes.  But for the first weekend in 2 months....we didn't have a showing!

This allowed me to do my stuff at my pace.  I wasn't overwhelmed or crazy.  It was lovely.

Saturday morning was spendy.  I went to Walmart and got 3/4 of the groceries, and all the cleaning supplies and paper goods and personal care items (it is very weird buying deodorant for the kids...and other items....) that we were out of (it is amazing how fast you run out of this stuff when you are constantly cleaning!).  Went to the grocery store for the remainder of the stuff.  Between the two stores...it was just about $300.  ICK.  I would have to look...but I am guessing at least $125 were the non-grocery items.

Spend several hours pulling my hair out on the taxes, and then did something that I should have done from the beginning....I called someone to ask a question.  His opinion was that I was overcomplicating the G-man out of state situation, and just file everything "married - Joint."  NEXT year will be way more complicated, and we already have decided that we will take the taxes to a professional.  But for this year....I just need to call the camp (again) to get their tax ID number...and I will be done.

I cooked a few things (meatloaf, chicken cordon bleu, big batch of sauce and meatballs) and we will have leftovers for a few nights.  If we still have stuff left, it can go in the freezer.  If we eat it all, we are having quesadillas.  I don't want to worry about dinners this week.

(There is NOTHING on the schedule this week, M-F.  NOTHING.  No doctor appointments, no school events, no scouts.  And now I don't have to cook either!  It is like a vacation!)

In between things....I did the laundry, wiped the bathrooms down.  Piddle piddle piddle.  It was great!

I spent a good portion of Sunday reading a book!  Bossy was at First Aid merit badge day, so other than bringing him there and back....I wasn't running all over the place!  The only problem with reading all day was it made me sleepy....and I so wanted to take a nap!  But I knew I had to go get Bossy, so no nap for Mysti.

I had wanted to get G-man's financial disclosure done, but I didn't want to ruin my groove.  It is due in May, and I wanted to have it done before he comes home in April, so as long as I get it done in the next few weeks...I am good to go.

For the first time in months....I feel like I have it all together.  Work is entering into a very precarious and crazy time, and it makes me glad that I am leaving soon.  I am compartmentalizing it though....it is what it is, and I am not going to worry about it.  The kids and I are into our groove.  The snow is melting.  We are doing ok.

We just need to sell this house!  It was great having ONE weekend off...but I am sure it was just a treat and that we will be back to regular scheduling next weekend (actually, we had a request for a Friday evening showing, but it didn't work out.  They could ONLY do one time, and I couldn't do that ONE time....I offered the 6 hrs before, or anytime over the weekend...but no...only that one time.  Whatever).

I hope everyone else had a great weekend as well!  Happy Monday!
