Fluffy Friday!

Haven't done one of these in a while.  Feel free to play along on your blog....and don't forget to answer the questions in the comment section!

1)  What was the most expensive errand you ran this week?
Hair cut and color....it had been awhile.  And I got a new refreshing shampoo (the purple fades quickly, so this will help it look better when I am stretching the time!!) I waited until 3-paycheck month to do everything (Thank you 3-paycheck month!).  $127 including tip.

2)  What was the least expensive purchase of the week?
It's a tie between $3 for "Pajama Day" for the kids....the school is helping raise money for a local family whose house was destroyed by fire......and $3 for Sassy to go see Big Hero 6 tonight at "Movie Night" at school.

3)  What did you spend money on this week that was just annoying?
I had a medical appointment that turned into a nightmare.  What should have been less than 30 min turned into over 2 hours!  By the parking garage time, I was there for 3 hours, so my fee was $4 ($1 for first hour, and $1.50 for each hour after), when it was supposed to be $1.

And a non-financial one.....

4) How much sleep did you get last night....and was it enough??
I got about 6.75 hrs (11pm-5:45am).  This has become the norm for me, and I know it isn't enough.  But brain isn't ready to go to sleep until 10:30-11pm most nights.  But I am also good about going to sleep early if my body tells me to.  There are nights that I tuck the kids in at 9pm....and by 9:15 I am on my way to dreamland!

  1. Most expensive - went to the dentist to pick up my partial. Cost me $510. Most of it was for the partial, $450, and I had a $60 balance after insurance paid some on a filling I had in January.

Least expensive - $0.73 for a Snickers candy bar. It's my first candy bar in weeks. I had somewhere to go after work and wouldn't be able to eat supper for a few hours, so I splurged.

Annoying - well, I'd say the $450 for the partial is annoying because I'm going to have to go back to have them grind it down some as my bite is off when I have it in.

Sleep - normally I'm an eight hour a night girl, but my team was playing (AND WINNING), so I didn't get to bed until really late. Guessing I got about 6 hours of sleep.

  2. 1) What was the most expensive errand you ran this week?
Did a lot of ‘no spend’ days this week, so I would have to say Grocery shopping. $170.00 for a week’s worth of groceries.

    2) What was the least expensive purchase of the week?
$7.00 spent on lunch during DS2’s visit with birth family.

    3) What did you spend money on this week that was just annoying?
$10.00 to get a copy of DD1’s food handlers permit because she didn’t think about making more than one copy when she originally took the test.

    4) How much sleep did you get last night....and was it enough??
Between 4.5-5 hours. Definitely not enough! My insomnia has been kicking my butt and DS3 decided to crawl into bed with us in the middle of night which meant I would wake up periodically with his hands or feet all over my face.

  3. Most expensive: both vehicles had gas tanks sitting on E

Least expensive: I'm going to have to say $0.00 spent on groceries - we're pretty well stocked up and have been able to eat out of the freezer and pantry, although that will soon be coming to an end

Annoying: This question was a good exercise for me; it was $3.90 at the cleaners. Last November I took a pair of my son's pants to the cleaners and used his name/number as a contact. I came across the ticket earlier in the week and figured they were still at the cleaners, so I stopped by on Thursday and sure enough they were still there. These slacks are part of a suit, with a subtle colored striped pattern, and I didn't want to take a chance that they'd be eventually lost forever if I didn't retrieve them from the cleaners myself.

Sleep: I made myself go to bed at 10:30 last night, and I woke up about 5:30 this morning (although I didn't get up until 6:00). Right now I'll say it's enough; mid-afternoon could be a different story!

  4. I'll play along!

    1) What was the most expensive errand you ran this week?
That'll be today... registering/paying sales tax on my new car after work.

    2) What was the least expensive purchase of the week?
Probably my $.54 fountain pop refill at the gas station

    3) What did you spend money on this week that was just annoying?
Replacing items that were stolen in my car, i.e. yoga mat, business cards, etc.

    And a non-financial one.....

    4) How much sleep did you get last night....and was it enough??
<7 hrs. My body prefers 8.5-9 solid hours sleep. I tossed & turned a lot due to too much sleep over the weekend, the BF coming into the bedroom, & a sore neck from sleeping on it wrong Saturday night.
