And we CONTINUE to wait....

We were so hopeful that Thursday would be THE day we would hear something.  Thursday came and went....and here we are at Friday.  No idea if today will be the day or not....my gut is saying NO.  But who knows.  It is still early in the work day.

G-man is in a training today (yay Overtime!  Remember, overtime has to make up for the money he was making at his second job.  So far, we are squeaking by).  If his phone rings, he will have to step out to take the call.  I am guessing that his ability to go back to "work" after the call will be non-existant.  And honestly, I will have a hard time working after life changing news as well. So I am in mega work mode right now.....just in case.  :)  I am pretty productive in general, but I am trying to be uber-productive.

The realtor we had come in last week flaked on us.  She was supposed to get us some information by Monday.  We called on Tuesday, and she said "oh sorry!  I will get it to you tonight!"  Nothing.  Goodbye.....we won't be needing anything more from you.  We have 2 more realtors coming in on Saturday (and I have the kids' before school hair cuts inbetween....yeah, my Saturday is BOOKED).  We were really hoping to know before the realtors come, so we could talk to the kids.  If we don't get the call today, then I will send the kids outside to play and deal with whatever questions happen.  We aren't going to tell them until we have our orders in hand.  But once we do, we will be telling them immediately.

In the meantime.....

The kids' birthday and first day of school in next Thursday, the 28th. As for birthday stuff....gifts are purchased but need to be wrapped. They each picked what they want for dinner (they each get what they want for dinner....if they didn't have to share a birthday they would have that option, so why shouldn't they still get that option?)  She wants cheese-fries (just cheese-fries.....), and he wants tacos.  And she wants an ice cream cake, and he wants a cake that looks like a golden Oreo (yellow cake, white frosting in the middle....none on the top or sides).  Easy enough.

School...we will take a tour on Monday afternoon with Bossy's special ed teacher so he can see where his classrooms will be.  We purchased a minimal amount of school supplies since the school hasn't sent us ANYTHING.  Not even homeroom information.  We called about it, and they said "oh yeah, that will go out soon."  School starts in less than a week....

Bossy will be getting his palate expander put on this coming Tuesday. Reminder to self....get more Tylenol......

It is incredibly hard to just deal with the day to day stuff while waiting for big news.  G-man is trying to do stuff around the house, and failing miserably.  He is so distracted.  I told him last night that he has to get it together.  I know it is hard, but we will be in an incredibly tight time crunch, and we don't have time to be the poky little puppy.  He knows...but is struggling.

Maybe today will be the day....maybe????  Please?????

    1. I have had a hard time this week with productivity....today isn't too bad. I think I am just not feeling like today is the day, so I am not thinking about it as much.

    1. I may join you in that drink this evening. I am scared out of my mind at the next chapter...but it is a long time coming and I think once the dust settles it will be a good thing.

    1. I hope we hear soon too! It is almost 12:30pm...and the office closes at 4 (or 4:30)....so we are half way through the day. I am not overly hopeful that today is it.

    1. I am hoping that the realtor just fades off. If she does send something, she better not try and get back in our good graces. Timely communication is super important to me, so she didn't win any points with me.

    2. My last realtor made me sign an agreement that stated if he showed me a property that I would have to use him as my agent. That was all fine and dandy until he showed me a house that I fell in love with but come to find out the owner was only going to pay 2% to the buyers realtor. My realtor then expected me to pay the other 1%. I was so mad!

    3. When we are at a point of signing with an agent, we do plan on negotiating the fees. But that will all be worked out ahead of time.

Right now we are "interviewing" them, finding out what they think we can get for the house, and what needs to be done before we put it on the market.

    4. We had a brutal realtor years back. We had a conditional sale on our house and were waiting for the buyers to sell their house. We ran into the buyer one day and he tells us they had decided against selling their house. Our realtor didn't even tell us!!! She was horrible. It amazes me that people like that stay in business.
