Luckily, Thursday tends to be our "quieter" day around the house. This is going to change over the summer, as Bossy's Occupational Therapy will be Thursday instead of Saturday. But for at least the next couple of weeks, Thursday is just a chill day.
June is almost here....and of course there is a ton to do in the coming weeks!
- Sign kids up for camp
- Get medical forms signed
- Pre-op bloodwork for Bossy's procedure
- Father's Day
- Bossy's Procedure
- End of school year stuff for kids....Concert, Promotion Day
- My last PTA meeting as Secretary!
- Open the pool (although I really don't do much on this...it is more of a G-man thing)
Add in our self imposed deadlines for painting and house projects, and it makes for a busy time of year!
I am going to take some time tonight to map it all out. Some things are time sensitive, so I need to make sure those are done. And working around other various things....if you don't have a plan, it can get messy really fast.
What are you up to?
I'm basically in survival mode. I have no idea or plans for this summer, and I need to get on that fast. I'm sure you're happy your last PTA as secretary is coming! Will you be doing that next year?
ReplyDeleteHow goes the house search?
DeleteI will still be a member of PTA next year, but not on the board, and not chairing any events. Gonna take a year off and see how the other half lives. :)
I too am just surviving, but need to make a list!
ReplyDeleteWow, when do your kiddos get out of school? All of the county schools are out here (south central Kentucky). The latest ones were out this week, many were out last Friday.
ReplyDeleteOur last day was supposed to be June 11, but due to the bad winter.....it is June 21.
DeleteMy daughter is graduating high school this month...and starting college on July 8! So we are very busy planning everything! It is also a stressful time of the year financially...summer camps, college, etc.
ReplyDeleteWhat does it mean to "open the pool"? This is the second time I read this today and don't understand it.
ReplyDeleteThe pool gets covered with a heavy tarp in September, when the weather is too cool to go swimming anymore.
DeleteIn the spring/summer, you have to take the cover off and then see what condition the water and the pool is in. Usually there is some debris that may have seeped through the tarp, as well as leaves that may fall in when you take the cover off.
Of course, there is usually some algae on the sides of the pool, as well as the bottom. So needs a good scrubbing and vaccuuming.
And then of course....add the chemicals.
Then....hopefully....the weather is warm enough to warm up the water and you can USE the pool!!
