I owe you pics..and this coming week

I planned on having a lovely post about the dance, with pictures.  However, my crappy wonderful printer with the card reader won't read the card.  I will have to figure out the problem.  But I will show you some pictures....promise.

In the meantime, this week will be a take it day by day kind of week.  Sassy and I are on the mend from our colds (and after talking to a few other people, ALOT of kids got sick this weekend).  The unfortunate thing is that I am behind in dishes, laundry, bills, etc.  I have alot of catching up to do, and the pitfall of trying to play catch up too quickly is that it wears you out, and you feel miserable.

Financially, things are super tight.  We are shuffling around money to pay for the car repair, and if we drain different pots of money, we have covered 2/3 of the cost.  Most likely the remaining amount will come from EF.  I hate using the EF.  But I have to realize that it is there for this kind of thing.

We are a month off on our camp savings.  We took $100 out for dog class, and will need to take some out for April Vacation Camp.  I need to save a little more from now on for these things.  We used to be able to take that money from other places, but the loss of pay when the tax rates changed doesn't allow it now.  It will be ok.  We were slated to have camp paid off by late May, and now it is late June.  It is still ok, but not ideal.

Per the weather, we are expecting 3"-5" of snow and ice tonight.  If school is cancelled tomorrow, the kids will lose another day of Spring Break (they have already lost Friday).  Additionally, they have standardized testing, so that will get thrown off as well.  Plus, they have dog training class tomorrow night, so if school is cancelled, so are all activities, even though by the evening the snow will have turned to rain.

Wednesday is Scouts Pack meeting.  Bossy is a Webelo II, and is "crossing over" into BOY scouts next week.  Boy scouts is much more independent than cub scouts, and we are expecting that he won't be able to achieve the level to sustain this.  Meeting will be weekly, and the demands are much higher.  We need to talk to the Pack leader, but we would like him to participate as much as he can, as long as it isn't a detriment to the other boys who are working toward Eagle.

Thursday....shhhhh, is quiet.

Friday is chaos in a bottle.  I have an 8am doctor appoint, followed by an 11am meeting to get the results of Bossy's testing last month, followed by conferences for the kids from 3:30-4:30.  No rest for the weary!

Hoping to be back later with pictures and a dance post!

  2. Yup... my week is nowhere near that interesting. I'd gladly take that snow for you if we could-- we really would! But since we can, do stay safe and warm.
