Sunday Night Chit-Chat - August 5, 2012

If only my husband would learn this.....

Carla is having a nice day....go visit!!

Tonight's Chit Chat....

Reading:   Actually, this is kind of funny.  I was going to go by the library and get a few books, and then they CLOSED the library because they found bedbugs.  EWWWW.  So once again....nothing.  Unless you count the 10 reports that will probably be waiting for me tomorrow.

Watching: I am not as much into the Track and Field Events for the Olympics.  I might watch 127 hrs tonight.  I have a bunch of movies on DVR that I need to clear out before the new season of shows start in a few weeks.  Actually, Grimm starts next week!!

Listening to: The kids are changing it up...Backyardigans.  Oh, and Bossy zooming down the hall on his plasma car.

Cooking/Baking: Dinner tonight was tacos, rice, and beans.  Nothing too exciting!  I made a big casserole of Penne with Sausage and Vodka Sauce on Friday, so we have been eating off of that over the weekend.

Happy you accomplished today: All the laundry is done!  I did alot of picking up, so at least I don't feel like the house is messy.  And our deep clean from last week still seems "clean."

Looking forward to next week: I have no idea.  I was hoping to get my hair cut and colored, but money is tight this week since our tax adjustment kicked in.  It may have to wait another week.

Thankful for today: This is tough today.  I am quite annoyed with G-man and it is clouding my view of everything.

*Bonus question*

What hobby have you always wanted to learn? Do you plans on trying to learn? Why or why not?  I have always wanted to learn how to crochet.  I do want to learn, but I need someone to show me.  I tried following on a tutorial....yeah, that didn't work out so well!

    1. I know! No Dora tonight. Right now, they are watching Percy Jackson.

As for books on crochet, if I can't follow a video, a book probably won't work either! I need someone to sit with me. Judy? MutantSupermodel? Anyone?

  3. Mysti , I would teach you to crochet! It is hard to learn from a tutorial I have to agree.

  4. I would totally sit with you and show you. We should get on a Google hangout. Just so you know, I learned with a combination of the Happy Hooker book and The Crochet Geek's videos. Those two things together were what got it to click for me.
