Poor Santa.....so much pressure. Maybe he needs to take a break and have Sunday Night Chit Chat with Carla, the sewing fiend!!:
Reading: Do you even have to ask?
Watching: The kids want to watch Cupcake Wars because it is Angry Birds themed. But once they are in bed, I will watch the Olympics. We have been enjoying the coverage so far!
Listening to: Dora. Man, haven't I given enough to the cause? 8 years of Dora is ALOT of Dora. I get it....she is an explorer. She has a map and a backpack and a friend name Boots. Got it. Thanks.
Cooking/Baking: Tonight's menu was Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and peas. I haven't done much cooking the past few days.....too busy cleaning!
Happy you accomplished today: I am going to cheat and list the things I am happy I accomplished in the past few days: Deep cleaning of living room, playroom, and 3/4 of the kitchen!!! As disgusted as I am at the level of filth hiding in my house, I was so happy to scrub it away.
And I found my Halloween Tree! Only $16 with shipping! It will be covered in orange and purple lights, ghosts, orange ornaments, and a Witches Hat for the top!
Looking forward to next week: G-man and I have a "date" night on Friday. It will be a quick dinner and a trip to the mall. But no kids = date night!

Thankful for today: The energy to actually do the cleaning I wanted to do. I know that so many people are in poor health and are unable to do this. While I am pretty tired from all the scrubbing, I know that tomorrow I will be fine.
*Bonus question*
Random Acts of Kindness: I wish I could say I actually witnessed some, but I didn't. That is a sad state of affairs.
Okay I have to admit I literally spewed my iced tea out laughing when I read your Dora comment. LOL I feel the exact same way. That was one good thing about the recent Viacom/Directv dispute. I didn't have to watch Dora for a week. And it made me realize how much my kids don't really care for her that much.
ReplyDeleteI hope to get some cleaning done this week...maybe send some of your motivation my way? Please? LOL
Have a great week!
My birthday gift to you....ENERGY!!!!!
DeleteI love your quote! Santa got my requests mixed up last year too!!! Now it he could only get it right this year!!! Also loved your Dora comment! Was so happy when my granddaughter grew out of the Dora stage. Now if she would only grow out of the Sponge Bob stage!
ReplyDeleteThe Halloween tree is soo cool!! I'll have to watch for those! :) Ditto on Dora. I think we're all over it. ;)
ReplyDeleteOkay no fair getting ahead of me on the filth! Like the quote, Have to start over on the weight loss, the stress of the last few weeks has me eating sugar, sugar!
