I was determined to NOT put on the heat until November. Well, I broke down and turned it on today.
It is in the low 40's, rainy. CHANCE of snow tonight....highly doubtful. But the house was only 58 degrees....so it was time.
Only 4 days to go....oh well.
We have snow today! Blurg!
ReplyDeleteHey, you did VERY well! I know people who've had theirs on as soon as it hit 65... so go you!
ReplyDeleteI turned mine on around a week ago, but only for about a day. Where I live, it's 35 degrees one day and then the very next day its 90 degrees.
ReplyDeleteI still havent turned it on but they are calling for 39 degrees and maybe some snow flakes on Saturday. But I have a plan..I am making stew and everyone has to clean and paint this weekend so hopefully this will keep them warm. Not sure it will work but a girls gotta try. Of course if mom starts turning blue I will turn it on ....a little

Well you did a lot better than I did! Mine has been running at night for well over a week now -- we had a cold snap and these southern girls couldn't take the chill. Heat, we can deal with, even when we're griping about it, but cold.... it just doesn't work for us. The good news is that this week the heat at night has been somewhat minimal since its been so warm during the day!
ReplyDeleteYou lasted longer than we did - I'm a wuss! :-) Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteI always wait until the wall thermometer says 59 then I turn on the heat. It was easier with out any kids at home this year. Less complaining, but it was still husband that caved!
ReplyDeleteWe had to start turning ours on about 10 days ago. I could make it until Nov 1st, but hubby is always cold! At least we both agree that we like it cooled down while we sleep so we turn it to 60 at night.
