I made a $2,600 principal only payment to the car loan....leaving just over $200 left on it!!! Next payroll will wipe that debt clean. I was tempted to just pay it off.....it would have meant taking $200 from our emergency fund (which is still currently low), and I just didn't want to do it. That is when Murphy walks in. I can wait 2 more weeks.....maybe.
Also, I finally crossed the $10,000 (actually, it is just over $11k) mark on amount of debt paid!! Technically this number is a bit skewed....this is based on our original debt when my blog started in August 2009. Never mind all the debt we added over the past almost 2 years and have paid off in addition to reducing the debt.

Awesome news! I would definitely wait, you don't want to invite trouble, but on the other hand I know it's hard to wait.

ReplyDeleteYou are going to be so happy with this gone! Isn't it funny that when you get so close to paying something off you just can hardly wait? When you owe thousands it is not as intense, but down to $200.00 you just want it gone!
