A Yakezie Whine

I am a big baby.  I know I am.  I really should have a sense of internal gratification, but today....I don't.

My whine....The guru himself....Financial Samurai......has never visited me.

Why this is bothering me today.....no idea.  But now I said it and I can move on.

  1. Haha,

Sam took more notice of my site when I started posting some lengthy comments on his. Go bug him some more, and I'm sure he'll come swinging by ;)

  3. Apparently if you tick off Evan at my journey to millions, then he'll complain about you to the Yakezie challenge site, and Sam will drop by to "see what the fuss is about."

  4. @Nicole - I already said my peace to Evan regarding the offending post. But I do have to say that the back and forth "banter" was mildly amusing. ;)

  5. I'm surprised you don't just go an visit Sam's site more and build a relaionship with him. He is so responsive and has so many interesting topics.

Is the onous on him to get to know you, or the onous on you to get to know him since you decided to join what he started?

What are your thoughts on entitelment.

  6. Yeah, I really shouldn't keep picking on him. But it was so hard to resist that perfect set-up!

  7. @Anonymous - Entitlement? Where did entitlement come into anything???

First off, who says I don't visit Sam's site often? Just because I don't comment often doesn't mean I don't visit. I have commented, and while I don't expect an individual response each and every time, I haven't gotten any.

Second....I think there is a shared responsibility to get to know each other. As the "leader," I do think he should make the rounds once in a while. You can't expect anyone to to ready EVERYTHING...that would be a job in itself. But once in a while to pop over and say hi (for example...on my blog b-day).

My responsibility would be to visit his site, comment, contribute. Yes, I have lacked a little there. I admit that. But it is also intimidating when you are in an arena where you are not nearly as knowledgable to contribute without making a fool of yourself.

Lastly...I know that everyone has their own style. Maybe his and my styles don't gel well. If that is the case, then we shake hands and part ways. But don't even know if this is the case. I don't know if he has ever visited and not left a comment. For all I know....you are Sam!

    @Nicole - let's all play nice,ok???

  9. Guess so! Be that as it may....it is still my feelings, and I am honoring that feeling, vs denying it is bothering me.

  10. I've tried to comment here before using my normal name and e-mail, and they don't go through. you may best to check your system first i.e. spam folder.

  11. Not sure what to do about that. I don't moderate the comments, so I have no idea why it won't let you comment. I am sorry to hear you are having problems.

I clear the spam folder daily, and the only thing in there are invitations to the GI bill, I won a Dell computer, and other junk.

  12. Maybe Sam is a sexist pig....Just kidding. I seem to have trouble posting comments on blogspot sites-They don't ever get far enough to be in the spam folder, I just keep getting error messages. Not always, but enough that I don't always bother.

As to the commenting on other more highly ranked sites-I had trouble with that too, initially.

It took me a while to find my "voice". I still lurk more than comment-as I don't like to just say "yea-what he said!" So if I don't feel as if I have something to say,I don't bother.

I don't "know" Sam other than his blog and a few emails when I did the Yakezie questionnaire, but he seems to be a nice guy in an online sorta way....And he is obviously dedicated to the Yakezie ideal...

There are still Yakezie blogs I haven't visited, as it is difficult to know which list is accurate. But will keep trying.

Good Luck, Just keep repeating "my blog is worthy!"
