This plan fell apart:

http://diggingoutfromourmess.blogspot.com/2010/01/well-there-went-that-plan.html

Basically...the insurance check went to car repairs and the rest to pay for camp for the kids this summer. We did increase the repayment amount to $105. Tax refund of $900 (we ended up owing some state) went to home repairs. And my selling of stuff....is going to the Christmas fund (minus $100 for car repair).

Talk about chaos!!Mystihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17496508600320205581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8465887551310827456.post-59715064742516449152010-05-11T20:20:00.764-04:002010-05-11T20:20:00.764-04:00Hi Mysti - I took out a 401K loan myself to get ri...Hi Mysti - I took out a 401K loan myself to get rid of a Shark (ahem CashCall) Loan. The interest rate is significantly less and my credit card debt will be gone in 3 years. Sometimes we have to do extreme things to get out of our debt.Rhitter94https://www.blogger.com/profile/14730386238190105989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8465887551310827456.post-638775810085488802009-12-28T15:03:59.948-05:002009-12-28T15:03:59.948-05:00The $350/month might be ambitious. I have cleared $200 easy on just some clothes.

Kid stuff (clothes, toys, toddler equipment), some extra furniture, formal dresses, little things here and there....

I have some collectibles that I don't collect anymore, household items.

I might be off base. But I am gonna try!Mystihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17496508600320205581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8465887551310827456.post-66599813261333650272009-12-28T12:59:05.591-05:002009-12-28T12:59:05.591-05:00Having a plan at all is a great step! Not trying at all is already earning you $0;)

And everything sold, for however much, is that much less to move, which saves that much more overall!budgetsarethenewblackhttp://budgetsarethenewblack.com/noreply@blogger.com
